Diamondbacks pitcher gets slapped off the mound

Sports has a funny way of picking you up when you're down.

Trailing the Braves 2-0, Diamondbacks pitcher Will Harris came on in relief of Randall Delgado in the 7th inning Friday night. After retiring two batters, Harris walked Justin Upton. With Upton on, it was time to give Harris the hook, and manager Kirk Gibson and third baseman Martin Prado made sure the right-hander got a send off on both ends.

Butt slaps happen in sports all the time. We see them every day, so there's really no reason to laugh, is there?

Wrong! Butt slaps are the foundation of team camaraderie and when the moment is caught in a still-frame photo, try and resist your inner-12-year-old.

Is there a Pulitzer Prize for endearingly awkward photos? If so, we'd like to nominate this one.

Definitely a frontrunner for funniest butt slap of the year caught on camera. Sorry, Chad Johnson:
